“For us as a bank it is a great pleasure to support an organized federation and a federation whose priority is basketball development among the new generations, but also at the national level. For the last three years we have supported the KBF to develop male and female basketball players through the leagues of young age groups and I believe that this resulted far more successful than both parties expected and it pleases us very much” he said.
“Now that KBF has been accepted in FIBA, it is the moment to deepen our cooperation further, therefore we decided to support the National Team of Kosovo in these historic qualifiers for the European Championship and we wish to succeed together.”
“We are very proud to have been given the opportunity to be the first sponsor of the National Team of Kosovo in this important journey not only for Kosovo basketball and sports, but also for Kosovo society in general,” Albeyoglu said.
Bilalli expressed his gratitude to TEB Sh.A. for the support given constantly to the local basketball.
“TEB Bank has already supported the Basketball Federation of Kosovo in the past years, namely the development of basketball among new generations and thanks to this we have increased the new teams categories for 250%. TEB Bank also last year supported the U-16 Representative of Kosovo in men’s competition, which was the first to represent our country in FIBA’s competition, so in the European Championship U-16, Division C, awarded with a silver medal,” Bilalli said.
“And now the bank has decided to support the National Team A of Kosovo in European Championship qualifiers. We as a federation are very happy that we have reached this agreement that means so much for us in this important phase of presentation of Kosovo basketball in international arena. On this occasion, we invite all citizens, fans, sponsors to support us the most considering the fact that we need the greatest support from all sides. We are doing our best to prepare initially for friendly matches, where in August we will have 10 of them and then for qualifying matches that will take place from 31 August to 17 September. The National Team started to get completed, all local basketball players are here and soon naturalized players will join us, led by Justin Doellman”.
Dardan Berisha, a basketball player of the National Team of Kosova said that the atmosphere within the team is positive.
“The atmosphere within the team is very good. All local players are working with great willingness and now we are waiting for the naturalized basketball players to join us to get completed. We are aware of what is ahead of us, therefore we started earlier with joint preparations. The intensity of work is increasing day by day and I believe we will be ready initially for the friendly matches and then for the qualifying ones.”
“These qualifiers are historic for Kosovo, but it will not be easy at all, considering that we have a very strong group. We lack experience but we will try to compensate it with hard work and commitment in the floor. I am convinced that all of us are pride to represent our country at competitions of such level, such as the qualifiers for EuroBasket 2017”, Berisha said.
