TEB Sh.A. part of Global Summit organized by Global Banking Alliance for Women (GBA)
In the scope of commitments for economic empowerment of woman, TEB Sh.A. attended the World Bank Summit organized by the Global Banking Alliance for Women (GBA) held in London.
In the framework of this summit, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in the capacity of the host organized the “Master Class” panel, where various financial institutions presented and discussed the successes and challenges of their programs for women in business.
Among the panelists was also the Deputy Managing Director of TEB Sh.A., Dren Krypa, who elaborated the content and components of the bank’s “Women Entrepreneur’s Program”.
In this presentation was emphasized the economic and social context of women in business in Kosovo as well as factors that contributed to the establishment of the program. In addition, special emphasis was placed on the unique elements of the program such as Start-Up business financing, provision of non-financial services and Ecosystem importance in market development. Discussions on the panel continued with representatives from various financial institutions and markets such as Georgia, Kazakhstan and Turkey who presented the practices, perspectives and challenges of women entrepreneurs in their countries. This summit brought together about 200 participants from 50 countries and more than 60 organizations.
The key conclusion of the panel was that women in business represent a growing economic group, which through their initiatives bring new innovation and spirit into the doing business practices. These initiatives contribute to economic development and promote greater social equilibrium. In this regard TEB Bank remains committed to its intentions in continuing the program development and establishing a stable banking group.
