TEB Bank again supports the Kosovo basketball national team
TEB Bank will continue to support the Kosovo A Representation. Following the support provided last year during Eurobasket 2017 qualifications, this year also the Bank has decided to support the KBF in their pre-qualification phase for the 2019 Basketball World Cup in China.
On Thursday , at the KBF offices, its President Erolld Belegu and the TEB Managing Director, Orçun Özdemir signed an agreement for one additional year.
The KBF organized a press conference for media on this occasion, where participants included Kosovo basketball selector, Brad Greenberg and the captain, Dardan Berisha. Greenberg and Berisha discussed the preparatory phase of the Representative team, the exercises and the friendly games played, as well as what to expect in the coming days.
“We are delighted that TEB Bank has decided to help us at this important stage for the federation, which is the European prequalification stage for the World Cup. “TEB Bank for many years now has come to KBF’s support, therefore we wish to thank them for the unswerving support”, said Erolld Belegu, President of the KBF.
Orçun Özdemi, the Managing Director at the TEB Bank also spoke of the support. “We are vary happy to be supporting the Kosovo A Representation and we trust that although after the qualifying matches for Eurobasket last year Kosovo was not qualified, this year Kosovo will make it. We strongly believe that this time round Kosovo will be even stronger and more prepared for these very important matches”.
“At the same time we also believe strongly that the sports hall will be overcrowded so that Kosovo is supported as much as possible in its bid to qualify in this round and continue further with matches in November”.
Dardan Berisha, the Captain of the Kosovo representative also thanked TEB Bank for support. “First of all I wish to thank you TEB Bank which this year also has decided to support us at this crucial stage for the representative team. This motivates us more to working with even greater intensity in order to regain the trust of one of our most important sponsors”.
“In professional aspect we are well prepared, and I think that friendly matches that we had has helped us understand better our position”, he said.
Our representation will compete in Group C along with Macedonia and Estonia.
Kosovo will play the first match as a host, against Macedonia, at the Youth and Sports Palace in Prishtina, at 20:15.
